COMMENCEMENT CEREMONY IN KPS BURMAMINES – 4-2-2017

4th February,2017: It was a grand night for the students of std X batch, 2016. The ceremony started with the welcome of Chief Guests Dr. Shrikant Nair and Dr. Rachana Nair escorted by the Principal Mrs. Harwinder Kaur. The ceremony commenced with a march past, down the aisle, by the graduating students led by the School Pupil Leader, Anuj Thakur. To invoke the presence of the almighty, the Chief Guest was invited to light the evening lamp. The graduates presented an overwhelming farewell song which moved the students and the audience into tears. Anuj Thakur, the SPL, delivered the valedictory address. The principal’s address was followed by a short program, presented by the students of std IX. The graduates were presented the certificates and mementoes. Principal’s award was given away for the most outstanding performance in various categories. The “Best Outgoing Boy prize was awarded to Krishna Murari and the “Best Outgoing Girl” prize was awarded to Kamaljit Kaur. The Chief Guest delivered an inspirational speech to motivate the students.


Annual Prize Nite – 3-2-2017

Annual Prize Nite was held in KPS Burmamines on 3rd Feb,17. Dr. Shrikant Nair and Dr. Rachana Nair were the Chief Guests for the occasion. The first three rank holders from each class and section from Pre-primary to High school were acknowledged for their perseverance, hard work and tenacity. The students who scored 10 CGPA in the 2016 batch were honored with a trophy and certificate each. It was heartening to see that the year-long endeavour of teachers, parents and the students had paid off which culminated in the grand ceremony.


December- 2016 (THE BIG GRAFFITI WALLS AT KPS, BURMAMINES LAUNCHED)

11th – 17th December2016: KPS Burmamines witnessed the unveiling of tribal art titled Mere Rang Desh Ke Sang.Vice President, Corporate Service, Tata Steel, Mr. Sunil Bhaskaran, managing director of JUSCO, Mr. Ashsish Mathur, general manager of JUSCO, Captain Dhananjay Mishra, did the honours. Change India Foundation Artists along with the students of KPS Burmamines painted motifs of tribal art on the boundary walls of the school. The 8500 sq ft long boundary wall was used as canvas by one hundred participants who zealously painted beautiful motifs on them. This created a history for being the longest wall painting in Jharkhand. The Programme was launched on 11th December 2016. The murals mesmerized the dignitaries who lauded the entire team for its effort. Other dignitaries who witnessed the paintings were the members of KSMS Trust, principal of KSMS, Mrs. Nandini Shukla, the director, KPS Trust, Mr.Sharat Chandran, , Mrs.ShantaVaidyanathan and the principal of KPS Gamaharia, Mrs. Rashmi Sinha. The director of KPS Burmamines Dr. Shrikant Nair dedicated the Wall Mural to the Late Chairman, Mr. A.P.R. Nair.

STAFF PICNIC – 3-1-2017

The faculty and administrative staff took the day off on the 3rd January and headed out to Golden Leaf resort, set in the backdrop of lush green Dalma Hills, for a day full of fun and relaxation. It was an opportunity to refresh the minds and enjoy fellowship. The bright sunny winter morning and a cool breeze created a cheerful atmosphere which rejuvenated the teachers for the final lap of the term. The teachers were welcomed at the venue with a hot cup of tea and a delicious breakfast. For those who love to go for outings, the place had a lot to offer. It was a fun-filled day with dance, music and games for all the teachers.
